Singing Lessons

Will George is a classically-trained vocalist who has a dual career singing in both classical and popular styles.

As a classical singer, Will has had an international career, appearing with major opera companies, concert organizations and festivals in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia (including the Metropolitan, New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles Operas). Since moving to Vancouver from New York and Los Angeles in 2005, he has appeared with local organizations including Erato Ensemble, City Opera Vancouver, Victoria Symphony, Vancouver Chamber Choir, Vancouver Pro Musica, and Vancouver New Music.

In the popular music field, Will has released albums under his own name as well as appearing as a guest on other artists’ projects. He is the lead singer-songwriter for the Vancouver band Horse Opera. He also has extensive experience in musical theatre, jazz, and other genres.

As a private voice instructor, Will specializes in teaching classical technique to pop, theatre and classical singers. You will learn healthy vocal production while retaining and developing your personal style. Will can also help you develop your ability to sight-read, harmonize and improvise.

Will received a Master of Music degree with a specialization in Voice from the University of Southern California (where he was named Outstanding Graduate from the School of Music) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Voice from California State University, Long Beach.
