The trombone is one of the most popular brass instruments and is characterized by its large bell and slide. Popular in jazz, concert and brass bands, and symphony orchestras this instrument has a large and varied repertoire.
The trombone consists of four parts. They are: mouthpiece, tubing, slider and amplifier (bell). For a Trombone to make sound the trombonist has to buzz their lips in the mouthpiece while blowing air at the same time. In order to create higher or lower pitches he has to adjust the opening between his lips on the mouthpiece and use the slide.
Trombone lessons are available at Accent Music Studios. We accept students from all over the lower mainland servicing mainly North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam, New Westminster, Richmond and Vancouver.
