Clarinet Lessons
Kevin Madi is currently a 5th year student at UBC pursuing a dual degree in Music Education.
Kevin has been playing piano since the age of 5, and clarinet since the age of 10, working through the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) grades. He has honed his skills under the guidance of acclaimed musicians such as Jose Franch-Ballester, Francois Houle, and Michelle Anderson. Kevin's dedication to music education is evident through his involvement in various ensembles and competitions.
Kevin's commitment to music extends beyond teaching. He is an active member of the Lions Gate Sinfonia, contributing his clarinet skills to the ensemble since March 2023. He has also conducted clarinet sectionals at Holy Cross Regional and participated in the Lions Gate Symphony collaborative competition for piano, showcasing his versatility as a musician.
Kevin's volunteer experiences further highlight his dedication to music education. He has assisted the band teacher at Sutherland Secondary High School, Lynn Valley Elementary, Mulgrave, Canyon Heights, Highlands, and Queensbury, providing support and guidance to students. Throughout 2020, he taught various instruments, including clarinet, piano, saxophone, and oboe. Kevin also conducted clarinet lessons remotely at York House Junior School.
